Nancy Cook, age 83, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2007. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Henry M. Cook, Jr. of Austin, TX; daughter, Carol Ann Stephens of Austin, TX; sons: Henry M. Cook III of Dallas, TX, William M. Cook of Austin, TX and Rev. James B. Cook of Olathe, KS; seven grandchildren; one step-great granddaughter; and a sister, Roberta Middelkamp of St. Louis, MO.
Nancy graduated from Southwest High School in St. Louis, MO. She received a B.S. in Education from Harris Teachers College in St. Louis, MO. She also attended Washington University in St. Louis, MO, receiving a certificate as a Medical Social Worker.
While her husband was serving in the Army Medical Corps, she taught school in Okinawa, Japan and Taiwan. He retired in 1972 as a colonel.
