I am so sad because I was unable to attend aunt Nancy's funeral. Aunt Nancy and uncle Ed were a big part of my life, growing up, and as an adult. After my parents died they were like second parents to me, and grandparents to our children. We had so many good times in Rockport, and at their house on the river in New Braunfels. We celebrted many July 4ths on Kohler,and although we always told aunt Nancy we would bring all the food, she always baked a cake or sour dough bread, or fixed some fruit, and she always had crackers and nuts to snack on. As everyone has attested to, she was the hostess with the mostest. Aunt Nancy and I used to talk about the Lord often when I called to check on her. She truly found her strength in Him. She will be missed terribly by all who knew her.

Mrs. Hill was a model of true gratitude and graciousness. Every minute I spent with her was a pleasure. I will never forget her smile and charm! She taught me that everyday we make a choice, to enjoy our lives or not. She was grateful for everyday. I'll surely miss our visits in the courtyard.

We all have fond memories of aunt Nancy. She was a great hostess and we loved having her and uncle Ed as our guest as well.

What a special person. Nancy and Ed were like my second set of in laws. I loved them both and have great memories of our times at their home and at Rockport. I will always cherish the great memories and times we shared. Will miss her and thank God for sharing her with me.

I will certainly miss "Aunt" Nancy. Her laughter and hospitality were second to none. She was always willing to give to others. It is also comforting to know she loved the Lord and is with Him at this time.

Few people have had such an endearing impact on my life as Nancy Whitney Hill. From the first time her niece, Suzanne, introduced us, I was captivated by her irresistable charm, hospitality and more profoundly, her way of making me feel as if I was a part of her family. At times, on my way to San Antonio, I would take friends by their home to visit her and Uncle Ed so they could meet this remarkable couple. Inevitably, Aunt Nancy would retreat to her kitchen and return with delectable snacks and treats for us to enjoy. When tubing down the Guadelupe River, Aunt Nancy would prepare sandwiches and cookies for Suzanne and I so we would not starve during the two hour float. The most gracious hostess, passionate volunteer, loving friend and aunt is her legacy to me and many, many others to cherish forever.

The hard part for you may be not being able to call and talk with Nancy, no more hugs from her, no new memories, no more answers to questions you may have...but do rejoice in fond memories you undoubtedly have with this fine lady. We wish we could have known her and listened to her stories of nearly a century! Blessings to each of you.

It was honor to have worked at sterling house ,, and took care of Mrs.Hill.. I loved her so much we had some fun times together ,,the laughs we had made both of us happy to e a part of each other lives,, I have been thinking of her wondering how she was doing ,,I'm sad for the loss but I know she home with her family ,,her dtr,and husband,,she loved her family dearly,,it was a honor to average met her and her family during my time working and taking care of her,,

She was a most important part of my life. I credit her with my character, sense of humor, and so many wonderful childhood memories.. She was a very stablilizing factor in my last two years of high school when I lived with the family. I love you Aunt Nancy!
