

Mrs. Hastings was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. She was an Elementary School Teacher for the SAISD for 21 years.
Member order of the Rainbow for Girls, past worthy Matron of Texas Chapter #35 Order of the Eastern Star and held many appointments in the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Alamo Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Major USAF Ret Warren V. "Jack " Hastings; sister, Kathlene Gayle Wiemers and a grandson, William Vars Rogers.
She was the oldest daughter of Hulda Jane Muennink and Emil Deitrich Wiemers, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Lynn "Sandee" and Lt. Col. USAF Ret Floyd Vars "Buzz" Rogers of Colorado Springs, CO; and her son, Warren Edward Hastings, San Antonio, TX; granddaughters, Melissa Anne Rogers of Colorado Springs, CO; Kristen Lynn and Tina Rogers Great-granddaughter, Kathrine Anne of Copenhagen, Denmark; Lyndsey Jane and her husband Jason Powell great-granddaughter Graceyn Jane of Marietta, GA; Casey Nicole Hastings of San Antonio, TX; and Teri Michele Hastings of College Station, TX; sisters and their husbands, Arlene Jane Wiemers and Howard E. "Chick" Richardson of Livingston, TX and Shirley Beth Wiemers and Mark L. Delk of Hondo, TX; sister-in-law, Marjorie Hastings Knowles of Oak Ridge, TN; nieces and nephews, Denise Arlene Richardson and her husband Dave Bailey; Gary and wife Monica Richardson; Russell Delk; Gregory Delk; Nancy Knowles and her husband Tom Van Brundt; Martha Knowles and her husband Ken Roy; and John Knowles and his wife Mariann.
She had many great-nieces and grand-nephews.
Her family was the source of her pride. She was a wife, mother, "Mema", aunt, sister and a friend to many.
She will always be remembered for being loving, caring, kind, and patient and having much concern for helping her family and friends.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
