

Nicholas Constanzo, Sr. was born on the present sight of Burbank High School on December 22, 1917, to Maria Rachele and Angel Antonio Constanzo; entered into rest on July 15, 2009 in New Braunfels, TX. Nick was a decorated veteran of World War II serving in the Southern Philippines and Western Pacific campaigns. He was a proud recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Nick retired as a farmer/rancher in the Von Ormy area and served on the Southwest ISD School Board for 12 years as Secretary and oversaw many improvements in a growing district. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Janette Jaeger and Lucrie Bellancia and his four brothers, Louis, Ralph, Tony and Daniel Constanzo. Nick is survived by his sweetheart and wife of 62 years, Sadie Lee Hill Constanzo; daughter, Susan and her husband, John Bordano, Sr.; son, Nick Jr. and wife, Debbie Constanzo; five grandsons; one granddaughter; five great-grandsons; eight great-granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews. Nick's greatest joy was watching his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, plants and cattle. The family extends their thanks and gratitude to the staff of Colonial Manor Nursing Home in New Braunfels, TX. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be given to Christus Santa Rosa Children's Hospital, 343 West Houston St., Suite 505 San Antonio, TX 78205.
