Nick Anthony Avila, Jr.

Nick Anthony Avila, Jr. born on July 6, 1965 went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2013 at the age of 48. He is preceded in death by his mother, Clara Lopez and his brother, Johnny Pantoja, who passed September 18, 2013. He is survived by wife, Rachel Olveda; son, Nick Anthony Avila, III; daughter, Angela Marie Avila; father, Nick Avila, Sr.; grandchildren, Nicholas Dominick Avila and Avery Marie Calzadias; brother, Daniel Pantoja; sisters, Esther Hudspeth, Christine Gutierrez, Rebecca Pena, Yvonne Gonzalez, and Rachel Lopez; also, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was a devoted and loving father who will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He will be especially remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, smile and laughter that can light up a room. He was happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren. We are going to miss you, Dad. You will forever be in our hearts. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday September 22, 2013 with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Jude’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.3.
