Norma Jean Dalton

Norma graduated from Harlandale High School in San Antonio and earned a degree in Environmental Design from the University of Houston. She worked as an interior designer and artist, including serving as the interior designer at Texas A&M University.

She served as chairman of the Board of Trustees at Kingwood United Methodist Church, on the Board of the Methodist Retirement Home, and as president of the Bryan Rotary Club. She was also proud of her family ties to heroes of the Alamo.

Norma is survived by her children, Cara E. Smith and Roark A. Smith; her granddaughter, Skyler S. Smith; and her siblings, Loyd Dalton Jr. (Nancy), Deborah Dalton, and Jonathan Dalton (Sheila).

A visitation will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Funeraria del Ángel Treviño, 2525 Palo Alto Rd., San Antonio, TX 78211. Interment will follow at Brummett Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to an art museum of your choice.
