

Norman G. Bodet III, better known as Skip to family and friends, passed away in San Antonio, TX, on October 1, 2023, at 73. Skip was a third-generation Texan born on May 2, 1950, to parents Martha F. Crane and Norman G. Bodet Jr.
Skip attended Cambridge Elementary, Alamo Heights Jr. High, and Antonian College Preparatory School, graduating in the class of 1969. Skip loved to hangout in his shop and was a fan of cars, racing, and history. His father’s beloved 1956 T-Bird sits in his shop, a restoration project that has been ongoing since the 1980s. He recently became a grandfather and looked forward to building a small house in the country near Comfort, TX. He was happiest being a dad and spending time with his family.
Skip was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Francis Crane Bodet (1971), his father, Norman G. Bodet Jr. (1974), his paternal grandfather, Norman G. Bodet Sr. (1955), and his stepmother’s husband, Thomas Stribling (2018).
Skip is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lynn, and two devoted sons, Norman G. Bodet IV (Hannah) and Ronald James Bodet. One granddaughter, Olivia Josette Bodet. Brother, Robert J. Bodet (Pat). Stepbrothers James “Jiggie” Johnson (JoAnne), Johnny Clay Johnson. Stepmother, Josephine Stribling and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Skip leaves extended family and friends who will miss him immensely.
