

Norris Bruce Hinsey, Jr., born January 15, 1928 in San Antonio passed away Monday, July 26, 2010.
Those surviving to remember him are his daughters, Marie Hinsey Morgan and Sherry Hinsey Reese and their mother, Janet Anderson Hinsey; sonin-law, Larry Morgan; two grandsons, Nicholas and Elliott Reese; brother-in-law, Rev. Henry O. Freund of Kermit, TX; and special friend, Hattie Lee Gleichenhaus.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Paulette Marie; parents, Norris Bruce, Sr. and Kathleen Walker Hinsey and his sister, Carolyn Freund.
He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Naval Air Corps. Bruce was a graduate of Texas Tech University. He earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from St. Mary's University Law School. He was active in the practice of Law for 57 years up until the time of his death.
He was a member of the San Antonio Bar Association who recognized him in 2003 for 50 years of practice. Bruce was a member of the San Antonio Power Squadron having served as its secretary, as well as a 40+ year member of the Alamo Heights Rotary Club, having served in several offices including president.
Bruce was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church where he served as Sr. Warden. Bruce was a Mason with membership in the Fort Stockton Lodge #1022 A.F. & A.M. Apart from his Law practice, he enjoyed photography, music, boating and travel.
