Born on October 8th, 1950, in Carrizo Springs, Texas and grew up in San Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margarita Vera De La Rosa.
Octaviano worked for Handy-Andy for 8 years where he met his wife, Odilia and were married on August 3rd, 1974. He then worked for the Coca-Cola Company for 33 years until he retired in 2013. Octaviano enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. He was married to his devoted wife Odilia De La Rosa and they shared 51 loving years together.
Octaviano is survived by his wife, Odilia R. De La Rosa; his son Ricardo (Jennifer) De La Rosa; his grandchildren, Kayla, Vincent, and Javier; his siblings, Maria Nela (Gerald) Bourland and family, Joe (Goldie) De la Rosa and family, Carlos (Carlota) De La Rosa and family, Rick (Liz) De La Rosa and family, Imelda Contreras and son, Hector (Connie) De La Rosa and family, and Robert (Lisa) De la Rosa.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m, on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Porter Loring Mortuary North, with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
