

He was the beloved son of Roberta Leichnitz, Omar Rodriguez and Veronica Prida.
Survivors also include his brother, Jacob Rodriguez-Leichnitz; grandparents, Carlos and Alicia Rodriguez, and countless friends and family.
Octavio was born in Yakima, WA, graduated from MacArthur High School in San Antonio, and earned a B.S. in mathematics at Seattle University.
Throughout his life, he touched many people. His wonderful sense of humor, passion for life and compassion for everyone constantly enlarged his circle of friends and admirers.
A gifted artist, he was a celebrated marble and granite craftsman whose designs grace the homes of many who will long treasure his legacy. A talented and graceful athlete, he loved playing and watching sports.
He was an excellent cook and loved to prepare fine meals for friends and family, who savored his company and enjoyed the cuisine he so lovingly shared. Though his life was tragically cut short, he will be greatly missed and always loved and we are comforted in knowing that his generous spirit lives on.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be given to Habitat for Humanity. A visitation will be held at Porter Loring on McCullough, Thursday, November 11 from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Christ Lutheran of Alamo Heights, 6720 Broadway, where he was a longtime member, on Friday, November 12 at 10 a.m.
