Oliver spent his 11 months in the loving arms of his parents who never left his side. He was the perfect child; he was never fussy and always had a smile on his face. His infectious smile lit up every face, his giggle made everyone chuckle and there was never a dull moment with him in a room.
Oliver was mama's little boy. He gravitated to his mother for all the comfort of life. He loved being sung to. When he couldn't sleep, which was often, a healthy dose of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, followed by You are My Sunshine always did the trick. Mama's voice was the soothing sound that made everything the best.
Oliver was the center of his dad's universe. When his dad sung him "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" he would emphatically row his little boat and clap his hands with joy. He would also smile and laugh when bouncing on his daddy's knee playing horsey.
Oliver found joy with everything. The noise made by his "maraca and sonaja" was sheer joy for him. Bath time was his favorite, "agua" (water) was the first word he ever uttered and "Woody", his rubber ducky, made him the happiest in the world.
Oliver was blessed; his grandparents lived for his joy. Grandpa, who coined him "El Rey," got the best present on his birthday, his little boy yelling "Grandpa", the final word he learned. Oliver spent his days in the loving arms of his grandmother Angela, and his great aunt Mely. The "babysitters" played with him all day forming him into the amazing, smart little boy he became. Grandma Lupe would be there every weekend to show him: "El Pato nadaba en el agua, y no se mojaba."
Oliver was born into a big family with numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. Although not all had the chance to meet him, he was loved and cherished by all, being showered with gifts and love every chance they got to see him. Oliver was lucky to have many friends who also enjoyed his presence.
Oliver is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Armando Garza, Sr. and is survived by his parents, Armando and Diana Garza; paternal grandmothers: Guadalupe Garza and Mely De La Isla; maternal grandparents, Elpidio and Angela Mancha; aunts: Mayra Sibrian and husband, T.J. and Laura Mancha; uncles, Fernando Garza, Javier Mancha and wife Betty; along with numerous other relatives.
