Known by her family as Orie, she served her family faithfully and tirelessly as wife, mother and grandmother. Before marrying Byron Brandt on February 14, 1953, she served our country in Civil Services Reclamation at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Orie was born in Parkview, New Mexico on March 20, 1933.
She is survived by her husband, Byron S. Brandt; siblings, Leroy Suazo, Albuquerque, NM, Ruby Suazo Archuletta, Bloomfield, NM; son, Charles Andrew Brandt, San Antonio; daughters, Cora (Brandt) Rhines, San Antonio, Cheryl (Brandt) Blackmon, Sugar Land, Carol Brandt, San Antonio; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
