Oscar Calderon Martinez, “Elvis” was called home to be with the Lord, on February 19, 2016 at the age of 81. Oscar was born on August 23, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Maria Coleta & Eugenio Martinez, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Oscar was a veteran of the US Army; he enjoyed playing the drums, photography, music and spending time with family. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Oscar is survived by his loving wife of 47 years of marriage, Dolores Martinez, his beloved daughters; Monica Martinez and Marissa Martinez. A visitation will begin on Tuesday, March 1st, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection San Martin De Porres Catholic Church with Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
