These are some favorite Galler Family stories. Otto, was the youngest of nine children. He was still a baby when his mother Hulda Galler, died. He was raised by his beloved father, "PoPo" and his sisters and brothers. These were depression years and they made a living from a small farm. They traded cream and eggs to the store for other goods. Otto always remembered that even though there was little money, "PoPo" always managed someway to come home from the store with candy for his children. To keep peace at the dinner table each child was assigned his own part of the chicken. Otto's was the back. The wings belonged to his sister Edna and to this day the wings are still her favorite. When Otto moved to San Antonio, he ran an ad in the S.A. Newspaper under "jobs wanted." This led to a call from Blu-White Diamond Instrument Co. where he was employed for 40 years. He was very dedicated, not missing more than three or four days in those 40 years.
