Patricia Marie Balderas, 77, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on November 26, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Francisco Balderas, with whom she built a beautiful life filled with love, family, and shared adventures.
Patricia was born in San Antonio, Texas, to Anthony Colosi Garza and Socorro Marie Davila, who also preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, John Anthony Balderas and Lisa Marie Balderas (Joseph D. McGonagle); her granddaughter, Cassandra Balderas; her two younger brothers; and her extended family, nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly and remained deeply close to throughout her life.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Patricia always put her family first and dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. As a Navy wife, she lived in many places like California, Washington, Alaska, and New Jersey, collecting memories, lifelong friendships, and even a few nicknames along the way—most famously, “Pat Star.”
Patricia had a generous heart and was always willing to help the need of others. After returning to San Antonio, she reconnected with her family and embraced her role as a sister to five brothers, cherishing the bond she shared with them.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. On days she felt lucky, she enjoyed scratching bingo or lottery cards—a pastime she had down to a science. She was also an animal lover, especially devoted to her little Artie, with whom she shared morning tacos and endless affection.
Patricia loved bringing people together. Whether it was a backyard BBQ, Thanksgiving gathering, or Christmas Dinner, her home was always filled with love, and the comfort of being together. She was truly the heart of her family, and her absence will be deeply felt. We will always hold the moments we shared close, and the love she left even closer. We love you, forever.
