Patricia Christa- Ables

She was born in Denton, Tx on June 10,1941 to James Shelton and Marie Wallace Shelton. She was the beloved wife of the late Johnny Christa (26yrs) and the late Ralph (Bud) Ables (26 yrs), proud mother of Sharon (Eddie Jr) Lynch and Kenny (Joannie) Christa. Two stepchildren, Cheryl (Doug) Hackradt and Beverly Hermann. She leaves behind her cherished sister, Sharon Miller. Patsy’s joy grew even greater as she became “Mum” to her six grandchildren, Eddie III, April, Chris, Preston, Kenny Jr, Michael and two step grandchildren, Kris and Koby and fourteen great-grandchildren. Each of whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.

Patsy had a generous spirit and a warm heart, always putting her family first. She loved simple pleasures, whether it was heading out on an RV road trip with Bud, camping with friends and family, enjoying a day at the slot machines, or just sharing a quiet moment with her loved ones. She especially loved playing games with her family. She had fun challenging them each time. Patsy loved putting together scrapbooks for her family and Sorority friends to enjoy for years to come. Her kindness touched everyone she met, and her laughter could light up a room.

Her family and friends will remember her as a gentle soul who found happiness in life’s small adventures and whose love created a strong and lasting bond among those she leaves behind.

A family gathering will be held to celebrate Patsy’s life. In her honor, the family encourages you to share a fond memory, take a road trip, or simply hold your loved ones a little closer, just as she always did.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Salvation Army.
