Patricia Ann Ruiz-De La Rosa, beloved daughter of Alejandro Ruiz and Rosa Elva De Leon-Ruiz, was born on April 24, 1960 in Lubbock, TX. Her mother preceded Pat in death.
Pat was raised in Southern California and moved to San Antonio, TX. in 1978. After completing high school she went to beauty school and became licensed in cosmetology. Pat was a hairstylist for 35 years. She was an absolutely awesome hairstylist and enjoyed keeping up with all the latest trends. Keeping her clients beautiful was important to her. She wanted her clients to be as beautiful on the outside as they were on the inside. She spent the last 12 years of her career working with her 2 sisters Laura Frisk and Nora Allen at Salon De Frisk.
Pat had a love for life. She enjoyed music, shopping, cooking, gardening and reading. Spending time with her family was important to Pat but most of all spending time with her 2 sons Gabriel and Santiago, her 3 darling grandchildren and daughter in law Krystal. Pat was a hopeless romantic and met the love of her life Omar in 2003. They met doing their favorite thing … Dancing. They married in July of 2004. That same month she lost her mother who was also her best friend. Pat was able to cope with the loss of her mother through the love and comfort of her husband Omar. What a blessing for God to have sent Omar for the most difficult years of her LIFE.
Pat was also blessed with the gift of making friends wherever she went. She always said that her close friends and family knew, understood, truly loved her and would always be there for here.
Pat was diagnosed with cancer January 12, 2007. Even with the unfortunate news of being diagnosed with cancer nothing could get her spirits down. She had an incredible desire to live for her loved ones and her youngest son Santiago.
Pat was a very brave and courageous woman. Through her battle with cancer she never let anyone see the struggle and pain she was enduring. She always made sure she looked her best and by looking at her you would not have known the severity of the cancer. She always said “I make cancer look good!”
We, the family, rest at ease knowing that Pat is in Heaven with our Heavenly Father and our Mom. We will always miss her terribly in this journey of life. We take comfort in knowing that one day we will see her again in Heaven.
Pat you will make Heaven a more beautiful place with your unforgettable smile.
Glory be to God!
We miss you and love you so much, Pat! Until we meet again.
