Patricia Ann (Taylor) Pruitt passed away peacefully on Thursday February 5th, 2026, at her home in San Antonio, TX. Pat was born on April 20, 1941, in San Saba, TX. Her family moved to San Antonio where she attended Brackenridge High School, graduating in 1959.
Patricia was loved by everyone she met and was known by many names: Pat, Aunt Pat, Grandma Pat, and Mom. She cherished her childhood and close family in San Saba and Llano and loved telling stories of growing up near the river. Her lifelong love for nature and gardening was surely influenced by her time there.
After graduating high school, Pat worked in the brokerage business for over 40 years as an over-the-counter trader in both San Antonio and Houston. She loved to travel and would talk of her trips to Hong Kong, New York, Mexico, Aspen and San Francisco. Perhaps her favorite place though, was Las Vegas. As anyone who knew her can attest, she enjoyed gambling and was lucky, too! She would remind you that skill also played a part as she showed later with her love of horse racing, both as a hobby and a business. She had a love for life, people and places and she never grew too old to lose her love of live music and dancing.
Pat is survived by her children Lisa Stuckey, Steve Stuckey, Bret Stuckey, and stepchildren Debbie Pruitt and Johnny Pruitt, brother Dean Taylor and his wife Mary Taylor and their children, niece Ricki Ford and husband Roger Ford, grandnephews Brian Stevens and his wife Kristi, Taylor Ford and his wife Kristina, Turner Ford and his wife Alex, Tucker Ford, Tanner Ford and Tyler Ford, and grandchildren Dustin Stuckey and Christopher Stuckey.
She is preceded in death by husbands Ted Stuckey and David Pruitt, parents Lois and Virgil Taylor, sister Jean Sweeney, nephew Randy Miller, and best friend Shirley Boatright.
