Paul Roy Johnson

Paul was born in Medford, Ore., on June 25, 1943 to Roy and Lisette Schlamann Johnson.

He grew up in Jacksonville, Ore. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1961 and served our nation in Vietnam.

His 28-year military career took him to Misawa, Japan, Taiwan, Italy and Kelly AFB. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he worked at USAA as an instructor. He retired in 2008.

Paul was loved very much by the family who survives him, including his wife, Beth; son, Michael and his wife Jamie, and their three children of Davison, Mich.; son, Matthew and his wife Melissa and their three children of San Antonio, Tex.; daughter, Melinda and her partner Kim Hawkins of San Antonio, Tex.; sister, Pauline Becker of Eugene, Ore.; and stepdaughter, Elisabeth Chaney of Newcastle, England.

He was predeceased by his parents and a granddaughter, Allison.
