

Paul was born in San Antonio to Socorro and Eva Ocampo on November 18, 1950. Paul went to school in San Antonio, and graduated from Harlandale High School. He married Cristina Ocampo on April 27, 1985 at Mission San Jose in San Antonio. Paul worked as a Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of San Antonio for 35 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war and served in the Navy.
Paul is preceded in death by his son Paul Christopher Ocampo, his father and mother Socorro and Eva Ocampo, his brothers Arturo Ocampo and Armando Ocampo, and many close family members and friends.
Paul is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cristina Ocampo, his son Sean Ocampo, his daughter and son-in-law Eva Ocampo-Lusk and Steven M. Lusk, brother and sister-in-law Joe and Rachel Ocampo, sister Lucy Ocampo, sister-in-law Elsa Ocampo, and many nieces and nephews, friends and extended family.
A memorial service for Paul will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 1523 Iowa Street, San Antonio, Texas 78203.
The family of Paul Ocampo would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and medical personnel at Texsan Methodist Hospital who worked extensively, patiently and kindly to help Paul. Also, to all the prayer warriors throughout the city, state, nation, and around the world who prayed for Paul and our family. Paul is now in the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His kingdom, and with his dearly beloved family in heaven.
