

Pauline, better known as “Polly” by family and friends was born near Olfen, Texas on August 3, 1935. She was the third of seven children born to the late Henry and Elvira (Lange) Halfmann. She attended St Joseph’s Catholic School in Rowena. Pauline married Monroe Frerich in El Paso, Texas on April 11, 1955.
After spending two years with her husband in Hawaii the couple moved back to their hometown of Rowena, Texas and then on to San Antonio, Texas where they raised their family. In 1967 they started Monroe Industries Inc. Pauline was an integral part of the building and success of the company. She spent the next 32 years as the office manager, bookkeeper, purchasing agent, NC programmer, and forklift operator as well as running daily operations. After 45 (+) years of hard work, Pauline retired to spend time with her family.In Pauline’s leisure time she enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as her trips to Las Vegas playing black jack and slots. She enjoyed traveling extensively through Europe, South America and the Caribbean. At home, she loved to play Spinner dominoes, better known as “Grandma Always Wins” with the family, and playing Bunco with the ladies in the neighborhood.
Pauline is survived by her husband Monroe, five children and spouses: Ronald Frerich (Deborah), Duane Frerich (Debbie), Denise Schaetter (Joe), Randall Frerich (Rosella) and Janet Frerich. Eight grandchildren: Nicole Goszyk (Kyle), Jennifer Frerich, William Frerich (Brianna), Matthew Frerich (Brandi), Bradley Frerich, Alex Schaetter, Amanda Frerich and Kathryn Sipe (Collin). Seven great-grandchildren: Greyson and Gavin Goszyk, Brayden and Rylee Ann Frerich, Carson Frerich, Christian and Caeden Sipe. Six siblings: Ethel Jansa (Paul), Lorene Schniers (Wilfred – Deceased), Patsy Milford (Ron), Henry Halfmann (Dereatha), Daniel Halfmann (Karol) and Betsy Lehnert (Wilbert)
Pauline will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
