Our dear, gracious and beautiful great aunt will be greatly missed even though it had been a long time since we were with her. Just knowing she was there offered a connection to so many now passed: Grandmother Frances, Great Grandmother Palayo, our Great Aunts and Uncles and cousins. We send our love to Uncle Max, their children, grandchildren and her natal family.

Pauline has been in my life since the day I was born and I guess even before then because she helped with the baby shower for my mom in anticipation of my birth. Her sweet and caring way became a normal part of my life. Every milestone I conquered Pauline and Max celebrated-- from my birth to my graduation from high school. Recently Pauline and Max were over at our home and Pauline in her usual concerned manner asked about my succes in college. She told me that she was very proud of me. I will always remember her gentle and loving spirit and I want to let all of her family know that you our in my thoughts daily as I try to imagine life without her. Love Margie

Max and Pauline have been a part of my life ever since I can remember. They have supported me and encouraged me throughout school, my marriage and the birth of my two daughters. I have many memories that I will use to sustain me through the battle of coping with the loss of Pauline, but I was fortunate enough to come to her home to attack a project that she wanted completed. She was so thoughtful,caring and loving. We would visit together where we would catch up on our lives and daily happenings. Pauline was such a positive person who always offered words of encouragement. Painting her hallway in her home afforded me some priceless time with her that I will always cherish. We deeply love Pauline and Max and we are so saddened by your loss. We are thinking of Max and his family daily as we reflect on Pauline's contribution to our lives. Love to all

In September my mom had a "back to school get together" It was a time to be thankful so my mother prepared a traditional Thanksgiving meal. The whole family was present, which included, of course, Max and Pauline. As a special addition Mitzi and her former college room mate were staying with Max and Pauline and were able to join us. It was a great time of togetherness and it is such a wonderful memory for me of Pauline. As usual she was the prefect guest showing everyone attention. Asking for updates on their lives. She looked beautiful, as always, and this is how I will remember her. I am very sorry that you have lost your precious mother and grandmother. WE also feel your pain and know that coping with this loss will be difficult. If I can ever help you in any way please call on me and please find comfort in knowing your mother was loved by many.

I had the memorable experience of meeting Pauline and Max Patino at a brunch at my sister's home. My sister, Paulette,wanted me to have the pleasure of meeting her parents on Kampmann. Our mother died 20 years ago and my sister said Pauline had been filling that void for all 20 years. We spent a wonderful morning together where a learned of the Patino children, and grand children. It was with the deepest love and joy that your parents shared their happiness about their children's lives. We have been praying for you since we learned of your mother's passing and we are deeply saddened by her loss.

Pauline was our MOTHER on Kampmann for the last thirty years. The void left in our hearts from her passing can never be filled. Knowing that she is an angel in heaven, still continuing her mission of loving her family and friends is the only comfort we can feel at this time. We shed tears as we empathize with the loss that her husband Max and children Mitzi & Philip, Max and Dorene, and Mark and Tammi feel because all who knew Pauline knew of her deep unconditional love for her children. Pauline's grandchildren were an extension of her children that she treasured with her deep love and guidance. Losing a grandmother like Pauline can only be described as a "great loss" but having experienced her love for as long as they have can only be described as a treasured gift not afforded all. We love you Pauline and will treasure you in our hearts forever! Frank, Paulette, Bumper, Trevor and Laura, Margie, Madison and Lauren.

Mrs. Patino was one of the most amazing women I have ever been privileged to know. Her dignity and grace were tremendous influences on me as a young woman. My thoughts and deepest sympathies to her wonderful family. -- Terry
