

He was a devout member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Mr. Gonzalez retired from The City of San Antonio Public Works after 33 years of service. He lived a very active life. He enjoyed his time walking Cuellar park and going to Las palmas HEB. Visiting Poteet flea market every weekend to show off his dance moves. He was a family oriented man with a genuine heart. He was a hero to many and to all of us, home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Gonzalez and Maria Concepcion Rangel Gonzalez; sisters, Maria Rodriguez, Carmen Galvan and Lupe Martinez.
Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his wife, Herminia C. Gonzalez; children, Maria Concepcion Gonzalez, Mary Helen Gonzalez, Maria Herminia Aguirre, Maria Christina Ellis (Lawrence Brent Ellis) and Bradford J. O'Neil Jr. (Valerie M. O’Neil); grandchildren, Candace, Monique, Lori, Darlene (Matthew), Jonathan, April, Chelsea, Isabel, Elizabeth, and Victoria; great grandchildren, Kaia, Ernest, Ethan, Lillianna, Jullianna, Michael, Mia, Tiara, Michael Jr., Jeremiah, and Genesis; great great grandchildren, Julian and Ivar; brother, Juan Gonzalez.
The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, followed by a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
The Procession will depart from the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025 for a 10:30 a.m. Mass of The Resurrection at St. Jude Catholic Church, 130 S. San Augustine Ave, San Antonio, TX 78237. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
