Perry M. Pete Kallison, age 68, of San Antonio passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon surrounded by his family and friends. Pete suffered from a brain tumor for which he underwent brain surgery eight months ago.
He was born and raised in San Antonio, attended Alamo Heights High School and graduated from Texas A & M, after which he served two years in the U. S. Army. After his discharge, he returned to San Antonio and entered the family business "Kallisons".
Pete was a member of Temple Beth-El. He was active in the Alamo Kiwanis Club, Director of the San Antonio Live Stock Exposition as well as other civic and charitable organizations. He was Director of Texas A & M 12th Man Foundation, Member of Texas A & M Former Students Association, as well as other Texas A & M organizations.
Mr. Kallison was preceded in death by his father, Perry Kallison. He is survived by his wife, Julie Kallison; mother, Frances Kallison; sisters, Maryann Friedman and husband, Alvin, Washington, DC, and Frances Ravicz and husband Richard; 2 nephews; 5 nieces; and 5 grand nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be members of the Texas A & M Corps of Cadets.
