Pete Lopez

Pete Lopez went to be with the Lord our Father August 31, 2024. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his closest loved ones. He was a graduate of Edison High School graduating class of 1979. He was a retired Army Specialist who served almost 17 years and a VIA bus driver for 25 years. Pete was a great father who liked to explore new places and try new parks and restaurants with his children. He was an even greater grandpa that loved to spend as much time as he possibly could with his granddaughters.

He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Serafiel Soto Lopez and Crispin Lopez, parents Jesse and Ninfa Lopez, brother Jesse Lopez and sister Maria Gonzalez.

He is survived by his loving wife Lucinda M. Lopez of 42 years. He also leaves behind his children Vanessa D. Lopez, Regina A. Lopez- Garcia (Jerry), Adam E. Lopez and Madeline Z. Hernandez who he loved and cared for as his very own. Granddaughters Alyssa Z. Garcia, Aideen C. Lopez, Angel R. Garcia. His siblings Sara Lopez, Letty Bailey (Mark), Victoria Barco (Valdamar), Christopher Lopez, Veronica Portillo (Jose), several nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Avelino Ruiz Jr. for being there for Pete and his family in their time of need and for giving him some peace of mind.
