Petra Garcia Hernandez

Petra Garcia Hernandez, born on April 14, 1930 in Elgin, Texas went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2014 at the age of 84. She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel R. Hernandez, son; Samuel Hernandez Jr., siblings; Juan E. Garcia, Margarita Villalobos, and Carmen Ramos. She is survived by her children, Juan Antonio Hernandez (Grace), Jimmy Hernandez, and Elvira Aldaco (Juan). She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters; Maria Gavina Flores, Cathy Escobedo Rodriguez, numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends and neighbors. The Family would also like to thank the Nurses Staff for their loving care and support in providing comfort throughout her final days. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No. 2. Arrangements under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, San Antonio, TX.
