

He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Robert Gallegos; uncle, Arturo Munoz; and his grandparents.
Mr. Gallegos is survived by his parents, Alberto and Lillia Acosta, from San Antonio, TX; sister, Elisabeth and Marco Calderon from Spring, TX; brother, Aaron and Mandy Acosta from Austin, TX; sisters, Stacy Acosta from Austin, TX, and Leslie Acosta from Austin, TX; aunts and uncles, Blanca and Robert Sherley from Humble, TX, Roger Chavarria from Houston, TX, Virginia de la Cruz from Hidalgo, TX, Rene Munoz from Austin, TX, Graciela Lozano from Richmond, TX, Jaime Munoz y Elida from General Teran N.L., Maria Munoz y Lorenzo from General Teran N.L., Jose Luis Munoz y Maria from General Teran N.L., Josfina Munoz y Sergio from Allende N.L., Esmeralda Munoz from General Teran N.L., Ludivina Munoz y Vicente from General Teran N.L., Pedro Munoz y Mary Chuy from General Teran N.L.; nieces and nephews, Nathaniel M. Gonzalez, Maya Isabel Gonzalez, Marco A. Caldron, Tyler Acosta, Brooklynn Acosta, Brodhi Acosta.
Mr. Gallegos proudly served his country in the US Army from 2003-2005. He was honored with a National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon.
Philip enjoyed spending time with his nephews and nieces as well as shopping for great deals at a discounted price. He would never pay full price and loved to save money. He also enjoyed playing Tennis and watching Syfy movies. He loved working at Mission Ridge Range and his knowledge and passion of guns could be seen by all when servicing his customers at Mission Ridge. Philip enjoyed spending time with his cherry head parrot which he had for 33 years by the name of Sissy. He loved to spend time with Sissy, and he always carried Sissy around on his shoulder.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 21, 2022, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
