Polly S. Gay was born in Washington, NC on March 2, 1928 to Elias Haywood and Pearl (Asby) Shepherd, and entered eternity on February 8, 2016 in San Antonio, TX. She was a faithful member of Alamo Heights Christian Church, an avid sports fan and loved the Spurs.
Polly was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Haywood Gay. Surviving are her sons, George Gay (Kathy), Richard Gay; grandsons, Christopher Gay (Donelle), Lance Gay; great-granddaughter, Faith Marie Gay; and sister, Ruby Jones. She is also survived by an extended family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
