Ralph Joseph Bourque, age 82, returned to his Heavenly Father on May 7, 2020, the birthdate of his dear sweet wife. He was born and raised in Scott, a suburb of Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Alice Stevens and Onteme Bourque.
Mr. Bourque retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years of active duty and worked an additional 20 years in civil service. He also spent 4 years in the U.S. Navy. From 1969-1970, he bravely served his country in Vietnam. In addition to his many years of service to his country, he lovingly served his family.
Mr. Bourque is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Lillie, their 3 daughters, Sherry White of Windsor, Colorado, Brenda Bourque-Garza of Helotes, Texas and Michelle Galbreath of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister and brother in Lafayette, Louisiana, nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home. Mr.Bourque will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery
