

Ralph is survived by his son, Ralph Jr., daughters Stephanie Smith (Hank) and Beverly Dicks (Tod), grandsons: Brandon Dicks (Stephanie), Trevor Smith (Alice), and Bronson Dicks (Madeline), his great-grandchildren: Caroline Reslie, Nicholas Dicks, Lucille Smith, Philip Dicks, and Kaitlyn Dicks; siblings Claira Mae Cravens (Gene), Bill Goodlet (Sharon), Dorothy Williams, and Ray Goodlet (Sue), and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Edith Goodlet, the love of his life Lucy Nadine Goodlet, sisters Laura Kersey and Pauline Saird.
Ralph was born on January 8, 1937, in Weston, Missouri, to William and Edith Goodlet. He graduated West Platte High School in 1955 were he was the Captain of the Football team. He married Lucy Nadine Gibb, his high school sweetheart on August 23,1955. He joined the United States Air Force and both he and Nadine moved to San Antonio, Texas, in the Summer of 1955. Ralph served in the Air Force for 4 years as a code breaker. After he left the Air Force he was a manager at Handy Andy Supermarket before he started a new career as a collections agent. As his children grew, Ralph coached the Pop Warner Mustangs Football team and went on to play an integral part in creating and maintaining the Camelot Little League. Ralph was also the District President of the Little League. Later, he helped coach both his grandsons, Brandon and Bronson, in baseball. After joining Windcrest United Methodist Church, Ralph attended and led Bible studies.
A visitation is scheduled for August 30, 2020, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral is scheduled for August 31, 2020 at 8:15 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Greg Hackett will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ralph’s life.
