

Wayne attended Ben Franklin Elementary School, Whittier Middle School and graduated from Thomas Edison High School. After graduating from high school, Wayne worked as an electrical assistant for his father. Wayne gained his commission as a Reserve Peace Officer, worked for the Bexar County Sheriff’s Reserve and Constable’s Office as a dispatcher.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Janilla Stolowski Kilborn, his sister, Patsy McKibbin (Brian), sister-in-law, Donna Kilborn, nephews, John Glen Bowles and Joshua Kilborn, as well as numerous cousins. He was proceeded in death by his father, Ralph Wayne Kilborn, Sr., his mother, Bernice Kilborn, and his brother, Lonnie Kilborn.
Wayne was a parishioner of St. Gerard Majella Church where he served as an usher at the 5 p.m. Saturday mass. He was also a member of the Knights of Colombus, Council # 10270 and a 4th degree Knight.
Wayne loved to listen to the San Antonio Missions baseball games on his radio with his roommate, Enrique Vidales, where they shared each other’s company for nine months.
Wayne will be missed for his kindness and generosity, his overflowing cups of ice and the blue shop towels that he used for everything.
A visitation will be held on February 4, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at St Gerard's Catholic Church, located at 1523 Iowa St, San Antonio, TX, 78203.
Following the visitation, a prayer service will take place from 10:00 am to 10:30 am at the same location.
The funeral service will also be held at St Gerard's Catholic Church from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
The committal service will occur at the Archdiocese of San Antonio - Holy Cross Cemetery, located at 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX, 78266, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
