Ramon Diaz

Ramon was preceded in death by his wife, Consuelo Diaz.

After getting married, he and his wife moved to San Antonio in 1972 to start a family.

Everyone knew him as "Pa". Ramon was hardworking, loving, caring and the definitive family man. He raised his four children on his own after his wife's passing in 1989.

He worked for SAWS for many years and was always devoted to his family. Ramon was the prime example of what a father and grandfather should be. He was always proud of his grandchildren and showed his support by attending birthdays, competitions and performances when he was well. He was the rock of the family, their sole provider and protector.

Ramon is survived by his daughters, Alejandra Diaz, Juanita Mauricio and husband, Ethan, Nancy Diaz; son, Ramon Diaz Jr. and wife, Crystal; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be in state on Sunday, September 25, 2016 beginning at 9:00 a.m. with a visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Porter Loring Mortuary North.

Service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Porter Loring North Chapel.

Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
