Randy Randall Peak

James Randell Peak, affectionately known to his family and friends simply as Randy, 68, of San Antonio, passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. He was born at Brokaw Hospital in Normal, Illinois to Gary Randell and Martha Marie Peak on Saturday, December 22, 1956. He married the love of his life, Ruth Peak, on Saturday, May 25, 2002; she survives.

Also surviving are his stepchildren, Clarissa Figeley (husband, Kevin), Jayme Peak, Jeremy Peak, and Melissa Peak. His grandchildren, Cadence, Kinsley, Brianna, and Hailey, and great-grandson, Caleb. His siblings, Margaret Jodts (Roger), Daniel Peak (Iris), Stan Peak, Janet Roberts (Doug), Leona Angotti (Glenn), and Becky Bulko. Many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his stepchildren, Travis and Sheree, parents, and grandparents.

Randy’s love for the needs of others made his job working at ODC for the intellectually disabled a joy to his heart. When he no longer was able to work there, he invested his time at Life Church, where he loved helping in the single parents ministry. Maybe because Randy understood the depths of being in need, he cherished the thought of helping those who he now felt he could reach out to encourage, teach, and love.

His celebration of life will be held Friday, February 7, at 11am at Life Church, 4424 SW Loop 410. Pastor Terry Richardson will officiate. Nothing would have made Randy happier than knowing Ruth is well taken care of. In lieu of flowers, please consider blessing Ruth with a financial gift that will assist in this time of need.
