She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, former member of Naomi Makemie Presbyterian Church, and a volunteer for the American Red Cross and hospice.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Black; parents, John and Carrie Loyd, all of San Antonio; daughter, Jennifer Wertz and husband Benjamin; grandson, Scotty Wertz; granddaughter, Vikki Leigh Wertz; son, Phillip Waller, all of Florida; brother, Chris Loyd and wife Ruth of New York; sister, Delene Temkin and husband Michael; nephew, John Thomas Temkin, all of Alabama; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
