

Raquel Torres a beloved member of the community, passed away on at the age of 84. Known for her warm spirit and dedication to helping others, Raquel was an active church usher and volunteered tirelessly at the local food pantry, making a positive impact on many lives. In addition to their community service, she worked in the school cafeteria, where they enjoyed interacting with students and staff alike. As an Avon dealer, they embraced the joy of connecting with friends and neighbors, sharing products that brought beauty and confidence to many. A passionate Pokémon enthusiast, she loved to gather with friends for gaming sessions and celebrations, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and joy. She had a zest for life and cherished exploring new places, always looking for the next adventure.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Genoveva Garza, brother, Librado Torres, sister-in-law, Marvel Torres and sister Eloisa, .
Raquel is survived by her siblings, Eva Deanda (Victor) and Guadalupe Torres Jr (Alicia), numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Their kindness, laughter, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew them.
Memorial Rosary will be Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 9:15 AM followed by a mass at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Rd. San Antonio TX 78257. Interment will follow in Holy Cross cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd. San Antonio TX 78266.
Following the interment there will be a gathering at 8302 Shoal Creek San Antonio TX 78251.
