Raul Castillo

Raul Castillo, age 89, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 16, 2016. He was born on December 28, 1926 in La Verne, CA to Jose & Jovita Castillo. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed. Mr.Castillo was a rancher who loved the country and he was also a hard worker. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad and also for Kaiser Longhorn Cement Company for many years.

Mr. Castillo is survived by his sons, Jose Castillo (Elida), Rafael Castillo (Mary Elizabeth) and Ricardo Castillo (San Juanita); daughter, Mercedes Castillo (Juan Guillermo); grandchildren, John Anthony Castillo (his wife Vanessa & children Hailey, Jose and Ava), Yvette Santellana, Ricardo Castillo Jr., Yvonne Castillo, Micaela Castillo, Bob Perez, Sylvia Ryan, Sandra Wenzel, Lisa Sanchez, Juan Sanchez Jr., Cynthia Sanchez and Mario Sanchez; numerous great grandchildren and other loving relatives.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4411 Moana, San Antonio, TX 78218.

Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
