

A native San Antonian, Raul was born, grew up and attended Fox Tech High School. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force and married Rosie Mendoza. Together they went to Riverside California. Upon completing his military commitment, he returned to San Antonio to work at Fort Sam Houston as a printer and map maker. Raul was then invited as a civil servant to work with the U. S. Office of Defense. Assigned to the Panama Canal Zone, he provided consultation and topographic map-making training to several South and Central American governments. Once Raul returned to the United States he again worked at Fort Sam Houston until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Mendoza Guerra; brother, Armando Guerra and wife, Gloria. Raul had one daughter, Norma S. Guerra and her son, Robert A. Saenz and his wife, Christy and son, Raul Roger Guerra and his wife, Elizabeth, and daughter Lauren and her husband. He leaves behind ten great-grandchildren and many extended family to carry on his legacy.
