Ray F. Garcia

On November 1, 2010 God called home Ray F. Garcia Sr. into his loving arms; where he walks the streets of gold. He believed in hard work and dedication and passed on this knowledge to his children and grandchildren. Mr. Garcia is a World War II and Korea veteran who served in the Army Air Corp (Japan Occupation) and Air Force respectively.

Mr. Garcia, 84, was a wonderful father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be greatly missed. Mr. Garcia is survived by his loving wife, Maria Rosa and his two children, Lydia Diane Garcia Mullen (Sam) and Ray T. Garcia (Blanca). Mr. Garcia is survived by his grandchildren: Steve Brooks, Jason Brooks (Misti), Stephanie Olguin (Dietrich), Ray F. Garcia, Anthony Garcia (Sachi), Lorraine Garcia (Brent Irish), and Melissa Garcia.

Mr. Garcia leaves behind 7 great grandchildren, two older brothers and many family members. He will be missed tremendously!

Services include: Celebration of Life/Viewing on Wednesday, November 3rd from 3pm – 9pm with a 7pm Rosary at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home – 6321 Bandera Road. Funeral Mass on Thursday, November 4 at 7:30am at St. Dominic Catholic Church 5919 Ingram Road. Burial will follow at 9am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
