Rebecca Ann Evans

Rebecca Ann Evans Becky, age 50, of San Antonio, died Monday, December 3, 2001. A graduate of Huntington High School in Huntington, W. Virginia and Marshall University, she received a BA in Education. Her MA in Elementary Education from West Virginia University including Post Masters Work. Becky was an active member of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church, a member of the Junior League of San Antonio where she also sang in the Junior League Choir, a volunteer at the pediatric neo-natal intensive care unit at Methodist Hospital, a member of the National Council of Teachers of English, and a member of the National Reading Association. She was a gifted and talented trained teacher. Since 1985 she taught at St. Mary's Hall, and prior to that at Harvey Elementary at East Central I.S.D. Preceded in death by her parents, Edward J. Evans, M.D. and Rebecca King Evans; and nephew, Christopher Chreed Evans, she is survived by her brothers, Edward J. Evans and wife, Sandra, Proctorville, OH, Christopher K. Evans and wife, Jeanette, Irvine, CA, Chreed C. Evans and wife, Julie; 2 nieces, Laura Ann Evans and Megan Brooke Evans, all of Proctorville, OH; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
