Rebecca G. Pellegrino

Rebecca G. Pellegrino, beloved matriarch of the Pellegrino and Licea families, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the age of 99. Becky worked 30 years at SASH in the field of mental health; she enjoyed working with patients and was given many promotions, retiring at age 72.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and an independent woman. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, John Pellegrino. As a couple, they had many close friends, were active in numerous organizations and participated in functions given by the San Antonio Charro Association where John was a member.

Becky's faith was deeply rooted; she belonged to the Guadalupanas at St. Ann's Church for many years and was a contributor to many charitable organizations. She had a zest for life and a humorous nature. She loved and enjoyed her family and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sons, William Licea and his spouse (Severa); David Licea (Gail); daughter, Marie L. Cooper (Mark); grandchildren, Catherine Huddleston (Warner), William Anthony Licea, Yolanda Ramon (Jesse), Yvonne Duran (Larry), Veronica Licea-Nieto (Robert), and Ricardo Licea; great grandchildren, William A. Licea, Jr., Vincent Licea, Ethan Nieto, James Gallegos, Stephanie Gallegos, Joel Ramon, Raquel Ramon, Jacob Aschbacher (Sydney), Michael Aschbacher and fiance, Ashlynn Lannon; great-great grandchild, Kaiden G. Arellano.
