

Rebecca was born April 19, 1946, in Mathis, TX. She grew up with 8 sisters and 5 brothers. She worked in the fields as a child alongside her brothers and sisters. She worked for San Antonio Shoes (SAS) for many years, then went on to work for NEISD as a bus driver where she worked for 26 years and retired in 2011.
She was the matriarch of her family which included 4 children, 8 grandchildren, Hector, Jesse, Noah, Leonard, Azreal, John, Demari and Mario, Great -grandchildren, Azariah, Athena, Eurijah, Adonis, Azaia.
She loved to go to church on Sunday’s and was part of the wonderful group Las Guadalupanas for many years. Everyone who knew Rebecca knew she loved to fix herself up and do her hair and nails, she loved plants, music, dancing and traveling. She loved parties and family gatherings and enjoyed watching her family her family have a great time together. On Halloween she loved to dress up and enjoyed fireworks on New Years Eve. In her younger years you could find her spinning in circles with a row of lit black cats!! Throughout the week she attended 2 senior centers where she stayed active and lively. Rebecca truly loved her family and friends, and could see he good in everyone, she would say, “everyone deserves a second chance.” Her home was always open to everyone who wanted a fresh start, found themselves in a tough situation or simples stayed to visit. Rebecca will truly be missed, and she will forever be remembered leaving behind many unforgettable memories.
A visitation for Rebecca will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a prayer service at 7:00PM.Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Clare Catholic Church, 7701 Somerset Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 TX-16, Von Ormy, TX 78073.
