Reynaldo Rey Martinez

Rey was born in San Benito, TX on February 26, 1941, to Guadalupe and Josefina Martinez.

Rey was a graduate of the University of Maryland and he proudly served for over 20 years in the United States Air Force. After retirement in 1981, he worked in the insurance and international consulting industries.

Rey was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church and had been involved with Knights of Columbus in years past. Rey loved traveling with his family and visited Germany, Hawaii, France, Italy, Spain, Mexico and Japan. He was passionate about golf and spending quality time with his family and beloved grandchildren.

Rey will be missed by those that survive him but we are blessed to have had him in our lives and he will forever be in our hearts and cherished memories. May the Lord welcome him into his home and surround him by the loved ones who await him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and only sibling, Guadalupe Martinez Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Maria Elena; daughter, Sandra Renee "Sandy" Peak and husband Brad; son, Ray Patrick and wife, Karen; his most cherished grandchildren, Katherine Marie-Dione "K.D." and Dylan Patrick; his sister in-law Emma L. Martinez; and his 3 nephews, niece, and numerous cousins and long time family friends.
