

Born in Kenosha, WS July 16, 1924 to George & Rose Boerner, Dick joined the US Navy upon graduation from high school. He served in the Pacific at the end of WWII. Flying everything from biplanes to jets and even captaining blimps, he served in the Navy for 23 years, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Dick married the love of his life, Patricia Marilyn Kraft, on January 29, 1949. Together they successfully and lovingly raised five children: David of Tavernier, FL, Jack of Pueblo, CO, Karen of Columbus, GA, Mark of Boise, ID, and Tricia of Spring Branch, TX.
Upon retirement from the Navy, Dick moved to San Antonio in 1964 and opened a water treatment business which he ran successfully for over 32 years. Richard was a leader in his industry and community, serving in both the Texas and the national Water Quality associations as well as the Rotary Club of San Antonio.
Richard was known for his consummate integrity, dependability, and generosity.
He was a dedicated and loving husband and gave tirelessly of himself to ensure the happiness and success of his children. He also enjoyed bowling, tennis and fishing; as well as volunteering at the SAMM's shelter.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Pat, all of his five children, his 18 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
He will be missed by all but will live on in the spirit and character he inspired in his sons and daughters. Please join us to celebrate his life.
