Richard Alfred Cisneros

Born on December 29, 1955, in San Antonio to Luis and Margarita Cisneros, Richard grew up in a close-knit family and graduated from Sidney Lanier High School. He married the love of his life, Aurora Hernandez, on September 28, 1980, and together they built a home filled with faith, laughter, and deep devotion. A loving husband, dedicated father, and devoted grandfather, Richard’s greatest joy came from supporting his family in every season of their lives.

Richard worked as an engineering technician for San Antonio Water Systems for 33 years, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, quiet reliability, and commitment to service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Margarita Cisneros, and siblings Luis Cisneros Jr., Gloria Castillo, Evangelina Pruneda, and Mary Lou Hohns.

Richard is survived by his wife, Aurora; daughters Stephanie (Anson) Centeno and Katherine (Lance) Kopper; siblings Delia Vega, Adam Cisneros, Robert Cisneros, and Roland Cisneros; and grandchildren Derek Adam, Bianca Annabelle, Jeremiah Ryan, Ezra Alfred Centeno, and Casey Cameron Kopper, all of whom he cherished dearly.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, located at 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238, on December 15, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at the Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on December 15, 2025, at 6:00 pm.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on December 16, 2025, at 10:00 am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Rd, San Antonio, TX 78251.

The Committal Service will follow at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi-Marian, 11624 Culebra Rd, San Antonio, TX 78253, on December 16, 2025, at 12:00 pm.
