At age 52 Richard Contie succumbed to lung cancer and joined his wife and soul mate Lenoir Contie in the Light on November 24, 2002. He was a witty, humorous, kind man, who always had a smile and a joke for everyone. Survived by his loving daughter, Brittany Contie; brother, Bob Contie and wife, Mary; nephews, Nick, Paul, Tim and Doug Contie; niece, Mary Lanoir Camp; brother-in-law, Bill and Susie Camp; and by other relatives and many friends.
