Richard A. Palmer

Richard went to be with the Lord April 1, 2018 at the age of 85. He was born February 8, 1933 in Iowa. He married Mary Streets in 1952, joined the Air Force and retired as Senior Master Sergeant. After retirement, he started his own business, Alamo Holly Sales, in 1979, with his 3 sons, and retired in 2002. Richard and Mary were married for 53 years before she went to be with the Lord in 2006.

He enjoyed golfing, working on his property, and being very active. His infectious smile was contagious. Richard and Geraldine Shead married in 2015. They enjoyed traveling, friends, and Church. He was predeceased by his son Dickie, first wife Mary, his parents & brother. He is survived by his wife Gerry, 3 children: Suzan (Michael), James (Becky), Gary (Denise); 8 Grandchildren: Richard II, Ray, Alan, Katie, Amy, James Jr, Chase, Bryana; 10 Great Grandchildren, his brother Gerald and extended family. Arrangements are with Sunset Funeral Home on Austin Highway. Visitation is Thursday April 5, 6-8pm, and the Funeral is Friday April 6 at 12pm at the funeral home with interment to follow.
