Richard Sterling Patterson

2019. He was born on September 22, 1939 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated

Abilene Christian University and sold office products for 30 years and then

finished off his career as a salesman in the produce business, working with his

son, Rick. Richard was an elder at the Weber Road Church of Christ in Corpus

Christi for many years before moving to San Antonio and attending McArthur Park

Church of Christ. Richard was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who will

be dearly missed.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Lea Patterson and his parents,

H. T. Patterson and Dorothy Jackson Patterson. He is survived by his children,

Cindi Nellis and her partner, Mark Heckmann, Rick Patterson and his wife, Kristen;

his brothers, Mike Patterson and his wife, Jo Ruth, and Steve Patterson; and his

sister-in-law, Cheryl Kay Sanchez-Smith; his grandchildren, DJNellis, Sean Nellis,

Mackensie Nellis, Alexandra Patterson, Sydney Patterson and, Ashley Bruening.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday July 5, 2019 at Sunset Funeral home at 3pm.
