Richard was proud to have served his country and retired from the U.S. Air Force. He loved to fish, big band music and going for walks. Richard was especially fond of his large assortment of his various hats and caps.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Snow; step-sons, Bill Johnson and Tony Johnson; step-daughters, Cathy Roberson and Janet Ng and Douglas Street and other step-grandchildren.
