Robert E. Barge, Jr.

He was a graduate of Will Roger's High School in Tulsa. Bob studied journalism and advertising at University of Texas before being drafted into the Army in 1944. When he came home he returned to his studies at Oklahoma City University.

A true business man, Bob owned and operated several businesses including, being a broker for his own real estate company, Barge and Co. in Oklahoma City, an art and frame gallery "The Enchanted Cottage" in Norman, Oklahoma, an advertizing business named Serendipity, art and antiques galleries in New Mexico, along with many other endeavors. He was a born salesman and never met a client that didn't become a friend.

He was preceded in death by, his wife, Shirley Mae Barge; 2 sisters, Betty and Barbara. Robert is survived by his step daughter, Gwen Lee of Oklahoma City; sons Barry Barge and wife, Carol of Richardson, Texas; Robert Barge and wife, Lisa of San Antonio, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Twana, Micah, Jared and Christopher; and his beloved dog, Eli.
