

Robert Roger Brysch, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born in Panna Maria, Texas, where he attended elementary school and was an altar server at Panna Maria Catholic Church. Robert was a graduate of Karnes City High School.
Robert moved to San Antonio in 1964 and began working for Southern Pacific Railroad and joined the United States Air Force Reserve 433rd Alamo Wing. He retired from the USAFR in1997 having achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. Robert was activated numerous times to serve his country and did so proudly. He retired as a chief clerk from Union Pacific Railroad (Southern Pacific) in 2009 after 45 years.
Robert was a parishioner at St. Benedict Catholic Church and a knight in the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Fatima Council 4315. He enjoyed working on his farm in Floresville, growing fruit trees and gardening. Robert also enjoyed fishing at his home in Rockport with his sons and grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Theresa Brysch. He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Gloria Eckermann. Robert is survived by his son Andrew Scott Brysch (Kimberlee), son Michael Alan Brysch (Angela), brother James Brysch (Helen), brother Mark Brysch (Wendy), sister Carolyn Weston and sister in-law Gayle Morris (Barry). He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Andrew Dennis Brysch, Jack Scott Brysch, Alekzander Michael Brysch and Audrey Michaela Brysch. Robert also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Embrace Hospice and AA Care Services for their outstanding care of Robert. He will be greatly missed.
